We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal and medical information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our mobile application, MCR Doc.

2. Information We Collect

• Personal Information: Name, age, gender, contact number, email address, and physical characteristics (height, weight).

• Medical Information: Appointment history, medical records, prescriptions, and pathology test reports generated through our clinic.

• Profile Photo: If you choose to upload one, a photo taken with your camera or selected from your gallery (optional).

• Approximate Location: Used only to detect your current area when you permit it (optional).

• Payment Information: Payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive payment confirmation details only; we never collect or store your card, UPI, or bank credentials.

• Device Information: A push-notification token so we can deliver booking and health notifications to your device.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To schedule and manage your doctor appointments and diagnostic tests.

• To facilitate online consultations (chat/video).

• To provide you with digital access to your prescriptions and lab reports.

• To process consultation payments and issue digital invoices.

• To send important notifications regarding your bookings or health updates.

4. Data Security & Sharing

Your health data is strictly confidential. We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Your medical information is only shared with the consulting doctors and authorized medical staff directly involved in your care.

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with access controls so that only authorized staff involved in your care can view it.

5. Service Providers We Rely On

To operate the app we use a small number of technology providers who process data on our behalf. They are not permitted to use your data for their own marketing.

• Google Firebase: Secure sign-in, encrypted data storage, file storage, and push notifications.

• Razorpay: Payment processing for consultation fees.

• LiveKit: Real-time video and audio for online consultations. Consultations are recorded for quality and safety review by the clinic; recordings are automatically deleted after 7 days.

6. App Permissions

• Camera & Photos: Only to let you take or choose a profile picture (optional).

• Microphone: Only during video/audio consultations you join.

• Location: Only to detect your current area, with your permission (optional).

• Notifications: To alert you about bookings, prescriptions, and health updates.

Every permission is requested only when the related feature is used, and the app remains usable if you decline optional permissions.

7. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your information for as long as your account is active so your medical history remains available to you and your doctors. You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile > Settings > Delete Account). When you delete your account, your personal profile data is removed from our systems; clinical records may be retained where required by applicable medical-record regulations.

Consultation recordings are retained for 7 days and then automatically deleted.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your personal information from our system at any time through the app settings, or by contacting us using the details below.

9. Children

The app is intended for users aged 18 and above. Consultations for patients under 18 take place only through a parent or legal guardian's account, using the family-member feature. We do not knowingly permit children to create their own accounts.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update this page and notify you in the app before the changes take effect.
